Splurged on this case and so glad I did. It's gorgeous and truly does look like a large old book right down to the spine and the worn look. I have a speck see thru case on my 15" mac book pro and it fits snuggly in the Twelve South BookBook. I personally don't use the angle elastic bands as my mac being in the speck case stays put. I don't like the fact these tiny straps could rub my mac or speck case. Although it doesn't have a carrying strap which you know when you order this item, I don't find that a deal breaker as I don't well carry my mac book anywhere. I purchased this case as a protective way to take the mac book from the house to our Rv for travel. I like knowing the mac is in a ended case while in the Rv.

If you're finding for a laptop case that's not your general everyday, look alike cases, then this is worth taking a look at. The price may be a bit costly but once you see the item you'll understand why. I love the look of it and the quality. I frame the price of the mac justifies the price of this case. It will grab people's attention for sure!
